The app's feeds can be pulled in two ways: install the app so calendar data updates locally, or use a webcal link that attaches the feed to the calendar program already in use. Available feeds cover public holidays, flag days, name days, moon phases, and the school breaks for a chosen region.
The feeds follow the RFC 5545 iCal standard, which means they work in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Outlook with no extra software. The calendar app refreshes the feed about once an hour, so new dates arrive on their own. Inside the app the same information appears with formatting and short background notes.
